HELP! with av connections!
Need some help......
I have monster gamelink 400 and optical.....
my AVR(receiver) has component and optical.....my tv only has s-video and rca....
i can't get a picture and the sound only comes when I select dvd on my avr.....
anyone use these cable with the same scenario?
if so, please help me out with this one...

If your TV doesn't have component input then don't use your receiver to switch the video.
It's possible that the receiver just assumes any optical audio must be coming from the DVD. I wouldn't lose any sleep over that one. As long as it works, what difference does it make which source you use?
