    Default add ons....

    Can anyone tell me do i need that thing for my xbox to make the graphics better some guy at best buy told me i needed it .....IS IT WORTH THE MONEY ????? and what is it anyway?...

    He's probably talking about the Advanced or HDTV AV Pack. If your TV can handle S-Video or Component Video inputs then, yes, it's worth it.

    I have a Toshiba 27" Pure Flat t.v. using the advanced AV pack and I've really noticed no difference between that and the original connections that came with the "box." I even switched between them but the picture was the same....great....but the same nonethelss.
    Gaming is about the games...

    I think he was talking about the Monster Cables. I've never used them, YET.

    With the HDTV AV pack you can go to full HDTV resolution if the game supports it (and if you have an HDTV).

    The Advanced AV pack doesn't change the resolution of the game but the S-Video connection makes a HUGE difference on larger screen displays. I use a projector with a ten foot screen and I noticed the difference immediately.
