System exclusive Soul Calibur 2 characters revealed

Namco Japan announced awhile ago, four new characters to the Soul Calibur 2 family. One new character named Necrid (a Todd Macfarlane creation) will be appearing on all three systems, while Link, Spawn and Heihachi will appear on the GameCube, Xbox and PlayStation 2 respectively. Namco announced they will release the home version of Soul Calibur 2 for PS2, GameCube and Xbox in Japan on March 27.

Additionally there is a new mode for all three systems that seems to be similar to the classic Edge Master mode found in the PSX version of Soul Blade/Edge. Apparently it will be some sort of RPG mode where you can collect various weapons and attributes for weapons and them use them in other modes such as Arcade and Versus mode.
