    Default A/V Switch

I have to hook up my xbox to the front of my tv in the rca jacks. I want to hook it up through the svideo with the additional cable but I only have one svideo and it is being used by my direct tv. I want to get a a/v switch but dont know wihich one is the best one to get for svideo.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks,
    Netman

I don't know about which one is best...as long as it don't cost like $5 or something....I have a Sony that I bought 3 years ago and it works just dandy for me. I think I paid $50 for it at Sears and it has 4 ports. They're all full after the introduction of the Xbox s-video cable

I know Sony makes one for about $50 last time I checked (which was a long time ago).

If your receiver switches S-Video then that is another option. Or you could put that $50 toward a new Dolby Digital / DTS receiver that switches S-Video.

How about a component video switch box? I can't seem to find one anywhere. I have a feeling it would be pretty spendy, even without cables but I want my dvd and xbox hooked up through component.

Anyone know where I could find one?

I agree. For that kind of money I'd rather buy a new receiver that switches component video.

I just bought the component video cable kit from monster cable for my xbox. I hav eone set of inputs and my dvd player is using is right now. I am going to move it upstairs and use my xbox as the dvd player. The only devices that use component video are dvd players. It is sweet that the xbox is compatible with it.

Glad to answer ur Question. Pelican puts out a very high quality switch for $19.99. The switch will allow u to connect 4(rca) or 4(svdeo)sources to one rca or svideo jack to ur tv check out www.xboxweb.com. U can even daisy chain them. I currently have 3 switchers. The 2 I have for one tv allowed me to hook up seven consoles to one tv with a single svideo input. The switchers are available at babbages gamestop funcoland EB & Walmart . Also u get very nice little snap in lables identifying the sourse for each switch DVD XBox PS2 Dreamcast etc.
