    Talking .......

If you want your own VGA adapter got to this website :

    http://www.xboxhacker.net/index.asp

and then click on GUIDES. You will see a link called VGA/XBOX adapter. It will explain to you how to make your own VGA adapter for the XBOX. The official VGA adapter has been cancelled for some reason .......... so if you really want to play your XBOX on your computer screen you should read the GUIDE.

S-Video looks like a PS/2 keyboard or mouse plug...remember that thing before USB took over? Thats what S-Video resembles...the 3 plugs are just old AV, but remember S-Video only does the picture, so make sure you got something for sound

    Question

Won't the screen resolution be low if you hook the Xbox up to your PC monitor?

If you run the XBOX through a video capture device in a PC then the resolution will likely suffer.

If you use a true VGA converter directly to your monitor then the resolution will be the same as what you'd see on an HDTV.

I have hooked up the xbox to a video capture card and ran it through Dscaler. The quality is nothing compared to going component to VGA. I would compare the quality to going to a standard tv with composite or even s-video. Very playable but you can do better.

    Question

But why would anyone want to hook up their Xbox to the PC monitor anyways?
