COD 4 fake plates?

Hey i just managed to grabbed my self a cod 4 plate for £9.00 but is that was very cheap compared to what it n onrmally goes for so could it be fake or a deal.

I think you probably got a deal. A lot of the fakes originate from sellers in asia.
Ask the seller if they still have the original box it came in. It looks like this:

See those four bozes he posted? If the plate ceme with the box, it's most likely legit. If it didn't, I would be careful. Mostly it's the Quake IV and the Call of Duty 2 plates that are being bootlegs in Asia. I don't recall seeing a COD3 or COD4 bootleg but I'd try to get the box to make sure.

I'm not aware of any COD4 fakes. I think you're probably OK. The 3 common fakes are Quake 4, COD 2, and E3 05 Launch plate.

Yeah, I think you can rest assured you've got a real one there!
159 nailed it when he said those 3 plates are the ones most commonly faked and that's because all 3 were produced in really small numbers near the launch of the XBox 360. I haven't really heard of any others getting the Chinese knockoff treatment... at least not yet.

CoD2, I definitely wouldn't buy one unless it comes with a box. There are ten times as many fakes out there as real ones.

CoD3, you probably won't be able to find one unless it's a real one so go for the box if you can but don't freak if you can't.

I haven't actually seen one yet so I don't know. That looks like a Photoshop version, even if it is representative of the final plate.
