Well it looks like we are getting a Keyboard for the XBox! The release date is 7/1/2002... I bet the GameShark is not that far behind. Check it out, click here.

OMG... ar you serious. i wonder if a mouse is coming out also. That would make GUNVALKYRIE a lot easier to control.
sweet! im probally gona buy one of those if i have $cash$
1) I'll believe it when I see it.
2) The key here is "games that have keyboard support" -- which, so far, amount to ZERO. This is, of course, unless they are hiding the option because nobody has a keyboard plugged into the XBOX yet.
3) I *HOPE* we do get a gameshark because, as much as I love my XBOX, my gaming skills leave a bit to be desired. I need all the help I can get.

Now all they need is an optical mouse, and I could rip it up at FPS games hardcore =]
I'm 99% sure I read somewhere in OXM that the xbox is made so only the "contoller" (and raceing wheels) will be in our hands. No keyboard no mouse. I will find the article and be back. My guess is its only for cheats?

That keyboard will probally only be used to enter gameshark codes and nothing else. I've read an article about that and it said it might be able to work with games that have keyboard support but why would you want to do that. I mean it takes away almost all of the console game experience and it would just be like playing a game on your PC. Plus Microsoft is coming out with a head set when they release their online ability so that we don't have to use a keyboard to communicate. So the only purpose of the keyboard will probally be just for gameshark codes.
We are getting the GameShark for the XBox around the spring(now)/summer season. Then this keyboard will release ONLY FOR USE WITH THE GAMESHARK.Originally posted by Hugh_Jass

So once the GameShark releases on the GameCube, we will be getting it shortly after.

i waited for you
i died inside my own head
and i'd die again for you
i'm faded and tired
completely uninspired
and i'd die again for you
so kill me with the love that you won't give to me
and pack the wound with salt i want to feel it bleed
I'll just wait for an adapter to put in one my pc keyboards. I got like 3 in my closet.
The key board is a pre release for the gameshark, it plugs into the controller port. It is not for games, just to put in gameshark codes easier.
A keyboard for gaming is pointless without a mouse. I don't want one without the other.
Instead of a full blown keyboard if MS is afraid of the xbox being called *gasp* a pc, then just come out with a 16 key keypad and a mouse. That is all you need to control any game that they can throw at you.

TEKKI proves that XBOX can handle any controller the designers want to create. I'd like to change our paradigm and see a completely new kind of controller that would set the FPS genre on fire.
In fact...now that I think about it, I bet the TEKKI controller could be used for FPS. Hmmm...a VERY interesting notion.
What is the TEKKI controller?

DID YOU PEOPLE NOT HEAR ME? YOU CAN NOT BE USED AS CONTROLS. IT IS RELEASE BY INTERACT FOR THE GAMESHARK TO ENTER CODES FASTER.
No need to shout boy. According to the site that is selling it, it isn't just for entering codes.
Compatible With All XBox Games That Offer Keyboard Support.Sure doesn't sound like it ONLY is for entering in Gameshark codes.Whether you‘re playing a game with keyboard support or entering all the latest codes into your GameShark, we have the answer. Just plug this keyboard into your XBox and you‘re ready to go.
