3D action adventure games starring omni-powerful creatures that suck the blood of enemies while solving crate-based puzzles seem to be all the rage these days. BloodRayne stars a sexy half-vampiress trained by a top-secret organization to hunt down supernatural menaces to society. In this game her target will be Jurgen Wulf, a Nazi general (and vampire) trying to get his hands on a set of powerful occult relics to win World War II for Germany before it even begins.
This game is set in the mid-1930s, but you wouldn’t believe it judging from Agent BloodRayne’s super-tight goth outfit and forlorn expression. She’s more than just another suburban high-school rebel, though. Besides her amazing acrobatic abilities, she has a pair of lethal silver blades and a wealth of occult abilities (like enhanced vision and Matrix-style bullet dodging) that can be powered up as the game goes on. Like in Eidos’ Blood Omen 2, you can feed off the blood of enemies to fill up your life force. Drink enough, and you’ll enter “Bloodlust” mode and start dealing out punishing damage to the Nazi soldiers and unlucky vampires in your way.

BloodRayne will come out on all three next-gen systems (PS2, Xbox and GameCube) and the PC just in time for Halloween.
