Is a memory Card a good idea?

i preordered my xbox bundle and i got
the system
2 controllers
halo
fuzion frenzy


When its november 8th ill have the $700 Canadian for the bundle with taxes and my dad is paying all the tax so im gonna get the accesories i need on the same day my dad pays for the tax
so.. im gettin amped and a controller and a memory card extra
and in total ill have $400 spending money aprox. so with the stuff im gettin already ill have around $200 left
And i can only spend that money for the xbox cuz my parents are payin for most of it
And should i get a memory card in the first place?
ill probably get the rf adaptor and maybe my dad'll forget about the 100 he put on reserve so i could have 300 spendin money
so what else should i get?

blocks.... the hard drive is like 5,000 blocks and there will probably one of those megamemory cards with like 1,000 blocks
cuz 8mb is way to small
