Here's another conversation I had with the rep at Xbox.com on the subject of GTA.....
Question: I hear GTA will be out for Xbox in May?

Michael: The official Xbox magazine has given strong indications that GTA 3 is under development, and Take Two, the developer, has stated that a GTA game will be released for the Xbox, with an estimated release of Fall/Winter 2002. However, no specific launch date has been confirmed at this time. As soon as more information becomes available, you'll see it on our Games page under the Coming Soon column.

There is NO real date set for GTA, It is only known for now as Fall/Winter 2002. The source of my information comes from Xbox.com ans Take Two!

How sweet would it be if they just bipassed the GTA3 and released GTA4 for all systems at the same time? I'm sick of PoS2's leftovers! I want to go out for a fresh meal every now and then!

i'm in agreement w/flyboy...but i guess i'm pretty biased since i already on gta3....but personally i'd just rather have them release gta4 miami...that ish is gonna be the BOOOOOOOMB!!!!!

Can someone please do to GTA3 threads what you did to RAW & GUNVALKYRIE please!

Take all of the threads and mush them all into one and make a offical GTA3 thread in new releases as a rumor or something.

This GTA3 crap is aggervating da hell outta me.
Thing is I want it and all, but this is way outta had!

Okay it's very possible that discussion was fake but some people need proof that some things are true- I personally have legitimately read in the official XBOX magazine- if anybody even reads that, that they ARE in development of an XBOX version of GTA3 and that it will have some XBOX specific extras but ofcourse none of those were mentioned and no release date was announced, but I personally have no doubt that they are releasing it per what I have read from an "official" magazine. I don't own a PS2 and have never played GTA3 and am unsure about a game and whether I will like it or not until I actually play it myself so I'm not biased towards it being released or not I simply am stating what I've observed, also on a side note GTA4 Miami??! Umm, please base it on some other city I live here in Miami, Florida ...I can't imagine what kind've an impact that would have on mass destruction in my area- it's bad enough already...LOL!

you are correct... i came here expecting actual proof for GTA3 on xbox... but i was disappointed. *cry*

but not no more! i shall return to my fellow Kmart employees to give them the news that GTA3 was not offically annouced for xbox and we shall drink non-alcholic beer and play NES!

Those Xbox support chat conversations are legit, I just went into one myself a little while ago. I am not exactly sure what it means, all they state is that OXM has hinted that something is in development and Take Two said there is a GTA title in the works, but if that is from their earnings reports then it could have been misinterpreted.

This isn't really an official announcement, but it's pretty fair to say that there will be some form of GTA on xbox. I can't see microsoft putting out these kinds of statements if they weren't planning something.

I'll be checking up on this stuff soon again. And may I ask who OXM is? Never heard of that term is all.

also, it was announced by take two, in their annual report thing, that state of emergency AND gta3 are comin to the xbox, so i guess thats enough proof
