I have one final question about getting halo online.

OK i saw a linksys 4 port hub that was 10mbs and 30 bucks. will this work for getting xbox online. also do i use ethernet cords

i also saw a converter that was a little pluf thing that turned a usb port into an ethernet port. if i got this could i leave my cable modem hooked up to the internet through my ethernet port and have my xbox connected throught the usb/ethernet thing.

That Hub should be fine, and you do use those RJ45 ethernet lines to connect it. As for that usb/ethernet port adapter I dont know, I never really heard anything about them.

Why did you even mention the Ethernet to USB coupler?? Is your cable modem USB or Ethernet?
