Regional lockout?

i know this is VERY premature; but do you think that there will be encoding so that jap/usa/euro games will not play on each others systems.
in the past the old 3DO had no lockout on jap/usa games
the pc/turbo duo had no lockout on cd based games only the Hucards....just curious...

I think there are no lockouts on the games at all, im probably wrong, but thats what i heard.

Yeah, its a required feature of any dvd player.... cause of rampant piracy

the japanese one had a way around it, but it was later removed
