The smart thing for Bungie to do was to work on both Halo and the Sequel at the same time...It took Bungie 4 years to create Halo...It took this long because the hardware was new, and they had to do a lot more testing. Now that they know the ropes of the Xbox's capabilities, it won't take them as long to make the sequel. And if they WERE working on both at the same time, then we might be seeing this game early...only time will tell.
Definetley NOT next month, though. Maybe OXM just has a teeny bit of info on this new title next month.

actually, they redid the whole game within a year. they started from scratch with the xbox version in oct. 2002. if u have the spring xbn there is a big story on it

you cannot call it a lie. well you can but it isn't. halo cameout in 2001 first of all and the original screenshots came from '98. I doubt Halo 2 will be out before Christmas.
I predict Halo 2 will feature a slightly tweaked engine (otherwise same as Halo 1), new maps, and online support.
