Bundles?

here in the n.y.c. metro area the stores are forcing 'bundles'...i.e. the system/games/accessories for a set price...seems to range for $400.00 up to $1000.00 depending on the contents. i remember that when i first pre-booked the unit we were informed that there "would be units stacked to the ceiling" and no bundles were in the offing....how times have changed...
i would like to know:
where are you located and what the costs are?
any choices as to games?

well, on a site i know you can choose any 3 games and 2 acesories...

I got mine from KBtoys.com. The prices vary between $400 to $850.

I got mine at Toysrus and it was 500$
1 Xbox
1 extra controller
Gotham street racing, Halo, Oddworld
1 carrying case

oh and a memory card too.

most retailers are maikng you get a bundle. i havent heard of one that lets you just buy the console

I got mine at comp usa in Michigan. You get two first party x-box games, one third party x-box game, and two accessories. You put a $15 deposite on the x-box and a $5 deposite on everthing else. This bundle costs $519.99 but I get $50 off when I bring in my receipt and my pre-order form when I pick it on the 15th. I think its one of the better deals.

Glad I planned ahead. After the PS2 crap last October, I wanted to make sure I could get an XBOX. I reserved mine at Babbages last November. $10. The store I shop at only has 25 reservations. Babbages cut theirs off pretty quick to ensure that they could get everyones system quickly. (they had a 2 month wait for reserved PS2's) I am going to be one of 25 other happy people on the 15th!!!

i work at best buy, and as far as i know, there wont be any preorders at my store, and it will be first come first serve....

the website link doestn' work yet, probably it wont be working until the xbox actually arrives (thats not a preorder link)
