First look: Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance Xbox

Interplay has released the first screenshots from the Xbox version of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. The game is set within the Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms universe, and it uses the 3rd Edition Dungeons & Dragons rule set. Players can select from three different character types (a human ranger, an elven sorceress, and a dwarf). Each of these characters has special skills and attributes that are taken advantage of when they're placed in certain situations. Players will also be able to equip these characters with a variety of weapons and armor. In addition to a single-player campaign, Dark Alliance features a two-player multiplayer mode.
Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance is currently scheduled for release in Q3 2002.

It looks very diablo 2-ish... Man, if something like diablo 2 ever came out for the box and went online.... *dies* I'd be first in line at the store to pick that up.

This game isnt like a real Baldurs Gate game its more of a Nox game, thats not a bad thing though im just saying ,its not physically Baldurs Gate. It probly doesnt even have the same characters. By the way the Baldurs Gate 2 book was really really good, im just saying this cuz it came into my head.

This game wasn't too bad, but in no way worth 50 bucks. I bought it used for PS2 and it was a fun but really really really really short romp. The graphics were absolutely INSANE. How they got that detail, with NO JAGGIES or shimmering on the PS2 is beyond me but it works. Unfortunatly nothing new on the Xbox version. I honestly don't think it was a good idea to have ported this game to the Xbox. It was unwarranted as there really isn't anyone I know with an Xbox who would buy this game. Shame we don't get something like Devil May Cry... no we have to get CRAP ports.

I wish the origional baldurs gate or baldurs gate 2 would come out those are some of the greatest rpgs ever made. and they even follow advanced dungeons and dragons 3rd set rules! this game is nothing but nox with only 3 selectable characters. if the origional real baldurs gate game came out it would sell like crazy.
