Thats from an early build as all wildlife to my knowledge at least in grasy areas was removed.

That's what I thought it was but it was just freaky looking......it reminds me of a cow in a strange way.

Yeah apparently at one point there was going to be things like flocks of animals stampeding i think. Would have been cool to see something like from the new Star wars films with large animals attacking anybody near them. Imagine a large beasts overturning vehicles as it stampedes into a warzone cool hehe.

Yeah it would have been great if they had implemented that idea. Maybe its there plan to introduce them in Halo 2..
