Thread: XBox is making weird sound... help!!!

    Default <click> <click> <click>..... help!!!

    oh man!! tragedy has struck my XboX

    my buddy has been begging me to lend him my XboX ever since i got Hunter... the guy just really likes the game...
    so last night, he kept calling me and bugging me so i finally gave him... i lent him my system...

    to make a long story short, i just got it back 20 mins ago, hooked it up and the console is making this strange, loud clicking noise...
    and i get the "please call technical support" screen...

    i tried turning it on and off... i tried changing controllers... i tried changing games... i tried it all

    is there something i can do it fix this or do i have to bring it back?? i do have the 2 years warranty so thats cool...

    what about my saved games?? i have lots of them and they are very important to me.... is there anyway i can save them? oh please let there be a way...

    any help/info is greatly appreciated....

    Buy a memory disk or card or whatever, attach it to your xbox, transfer all your saved games, then take your xbox in and get a diff one.

    easier said then done...
    the XboX menu won't even load... the XboX doesn't boot that far..
    it stops on the opening logo thingy...


    anyone else have any ideas?

    i forget what site..
    but im pretty sure they got this thing..
    so u hook it up to your comp..
    like to play on gs..
    but it hooks the xbox hd to the comp or something.
    then u can upload the saves to the comp..
    then get new box..
    then d/l them on to the new box.

    the clicking noise is your hard drive.....your hard drive is screwed bro thats the bad thing about moving your xbox from where it is without the proper packaging....moving a harddrive around can sometimes move the needle or head which thats what its called out of place...once that happens kiss your HD good bye unless of course you take it to one of those memory recovery data centers which aint worth it unless your willing to pay 100's or 1000's for that data.....i think your saved games are gone which sucks....you need a new hard drive for that xbox but good thing you have a waranty
