2 questions for morrowind..cocerning locks and probes

hey all....
i am born under 'the tower'
so i have the power where u can unlock locks up to '50'
but how do i unlock locks that are more then 50?
such as 75 or 90...
and whats a probe for?!
i thought it was for opening locks that were bigger than 50...
but it doesnt seem like thats the case....
so what does the probe do?

THe probe disarms traps and once you get good at lock picking (security skill) you can open higher skill level locks also the quality of the lock pick your using, best ive seen is a masters lock pick 1.3 quality.

Also Ive opened level 100 dors using this scroll i think its called Omnimusha unhinging or something like that and you can buy it almost anywhere at guild mages palces. You cast it at a tough locked object and then try to pick it and it makes it very easy.

I have a level 100 scroll as well.

The highest pick I found was a Grand Master's with a rating of 1.40, nearest I can remember.

I just found a GrandMasters lockpick and I dont think i dare to use it in fear it will run out! I also found a sweet daedric short sword good for my guy in the same place

i wish the lock picks lasted forever. do u know where i can train to get my lock pick skill up?

you can buy or make unlock or lock spells...or buy your lockpicking skill from the master. If you want to know who the master is, read the guide. If you dont have the guide, get it. Everyone with morrowind should have the guide.

Yes, it helps a lot when your stuck in quests and such.
