Thread: Do the boots of blinding speed blind you totally?

Default Do the boots of blinding speed blind you totally?

I know the effect on these says 100% blinding, but I can still see just fine. It is a little bit darker, but it is no problem to wear them all the time. Is this something different for my char or is that the typical way they work?

If you are wearing the Curais of the savior's hide, then you'll still be able to see. The curais gives you 60% resist magicka. Since the boots 100% blind, you only end up being 40% blinded, basically, just a little darker. That might be your answer.

OK, that explains it. My character has a natural resist magica, so that is why I can still see.

    Thanks

I did the same thing....used the map to navigate. I REALLY wish i had those before I went on my 4 hours adventure and got lost! But it was weird...on my TV at home, i couldn't see a thing...but on another tv at home, I could still see a little, enough to navigate...I think it was because of the brightness settings.

So when you unequipe them you turn unblinded again? I am looking for them, just got my Glass Armor from Ghostgate at 1 this morning. My next goal is to get those boots.

yup, when you take them off, everything goes back to normal. They are good to use when you run away from enemies you can't kill

Actually, I have noticed that if you are wearing them in the day time, you can kind of see the outlines of things, but it has to be pretty bright outside.
The glove compartment isn't accurately named.
