Infogrames, a leading global publisher of interactive entertainment software, is creating a third installment in the smash hit Driver™ series, currently titled Driver 3, for the Xbox™ video game system by Microsoft, the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, the Nintendo GameCube and personal computer.

Driver 3 is being developed by Infogrames’ own Reflections Interactive in Newcastle, England, the team responsible for the original two Driver games and the forthcoming blockbuster, Stuntman.

“The success of the Driver franchise is an historic milestone in the gaming industry. Driver 3 on the PS2, Xbox, GameCube and PC will undoubtedly take the franchise to another level of success and gaming experience”, said Larry Sparks, Vice president of European Marketing, Infogrames.

Driver 3 is scheduled for release in 2003

Cool. I like the Driver games, they're fun. Except for Driver 2 I didn't really like as much as Driver 1. We'll just have to see how Driver 3 is.

lol. what a coincidence. i was thinking about driver 3 a couple days ago. i remeber at the end of driver 2 when the credits ended it said see you again in 2003. but the fact that its multiplatform may hurt it.

I loved Driver and know that Driver 3 is coming to the xbox I can't wait. This game is going to be on my buy list for sure. I hope it does not turn out to be another Test Drive.

the driving in driver 2 was much like gta3 except graphics and shooting...and running over people and the hookers...watch how driver3 is gonna be just like gta3

driver 2 came out first so they kinda originated the idea. driver is mosltly about drvining and gta is about killing(well when i play)

This is the one game I truly believe that can dethrone GTA3. Oh, and for the record, while Driver 2 came out b4 GTA3, GTA1 originated the whole stealing cars idea.

theres gota be a game before grand theft auto where u can steal cars. gta was made in like 98. that would be really messed up if that was thefirst game u can steal cars in.

wow!! finally its about damn time for them to put out driver 3 but if its anything like gta3 i will be disapointed but maybe that would be cool because it would be likt gta3 only different time frame and different cars. yeah that mite b cool. GO HALO!!
