EP-808SX and EP-808AX are with Auto MDI/MDIX function. Which cable should I use? Crossover or straightforward cable? With Auto MDI/MDIX crossover support, you are no longer suffering from that sort of headache.

does this mean i can use my 15.2 mtr crossover cable while other friends use normal network cables?

    please just follow link.

reply saying if it will work or not. (same with cables)

    thanx in advance

A switch should work fine, since a switch is just an intelligent hub that optimizes bandwidth usage on the LAN.

I've never heard of an MDIX cable, I just know of straight-through and crossover. For a LAN game on a switch or hub, everyone would use s "normal" cable to connect to the switch (a straight-through cable). If you were hooking two Xboxes together without a hub or switch, or if you were connecting two switches/hubs together, they would be connected with crossover cables.
