Cheaper Controllers

OK, I am dropping a bucket-o-money on the Xbox and games, but I want to get a 3rd and 4th controller as well, and an additional $80 for two more is steep. I know a few 3rd party controllers are $30, but is there anything cheaper? I know where Microsoft is making up money there losing on the console, the accessories are stepp in price.

I saved myself $10 by buying an InterAct RF Adapter, instead of a Microsoft one. But that isn't handled all the time, it just sits on the back of my TV. I dont trust those third part controllers after a third party N64 controller of mine broke in like a month.
