Just to make sure you understand, the full retail version
of MotoGP that is out now, does NOT have Live capabilities
built into the game. The MotoGP Live demo disc does NOT
unlock this feature in the retail version of the game. Only
the demo disc is Live capable and can be played online.

However, there is good news. If you have the full version
of MotoGP, you can use it to unlock tracks and riders that
are saved to your Xbox hard drive. Then, using the demo
Live disc, you can play those tracks/riders you've unlocked
from the retail version and play them on Xbox Live. The only
drag of this is that whoever you play against will have had
to unlock those same tracks from their retail version of
    MotoGP.

    Confusing isn't it?

    Yes and no.

The current version of MotoGP out in the stores, can
not and will not play on Xbox Live.

But, if you buy it now and play it, unlocking as many
riders and tracks as you can, you will be able to use
those tracks and riders on Xbox Live using the MotoGP
demo disc that will come in the Xbox Live kit.

Here's how it works. Playing the retail version you unlock
riders and tracks. These are saved to the hard drive so
whenever you play they are there. The demo MotoGP
disc will check the hard drive for saved games, riders
and tracks. If there are any of these on your hard drive,
the demo disc will allow you to play with them on Xbox
Live with others, but as I said earlier, whoever you play
against will also need to unlock the same tracks for
you to race against each other.

It sounds kind of confusing but it really isn't. Go ahead
and buy the retail version now. Get used to playing it
and unlock as many tracks and riders as you can. Also
you can create your own riders that you can play on
Xbox Live also using the retail version. Then when you
buy the Xbox Live kit, you just pop in the MotoGP demo
disc and all the riders and tracks you've unlocked or
    created will be available.

The MotoGP demo disc is only going to allow you to
play a few tracks/riders unless you have have played
the retail version. Or a cheaper way would be to rent
MotoGP and unlock as many items as possible before
November 15th when Xbox Live goes public.

    Just an FYI,

I have not read anything that said whether or not a
Live retail version of MotoGP is going to be made or not.

from what i understand all Moto GP's will work online you just have to download somthing to make the game online compatible because they put a hook in the game at least thats what i thought

Incorrect. You must first play the original MotoGP and unlock everything. Than, when you get XBL- it will come with a MotoGP demo. Just load up the demo disc and you will be able to play. No downloading from Live is needed.
Poor Delta...I hope she gets better quickly.
