    Question About networking the Xbox?

I was wondering, when playing games like Halo with more than one player and more than one Xbox, can you use any hub/router i.e. D-Link, Linksys etc... or does Microsoft have a special hub just for the unit?

Any ethernet hub will do, but a switch would be better.

Really? From Xbox to Xbox, is that just a cross-over cable or is it a must to purchase that Microsoft link cable?

Have you ever networked your system?

The "offical" system link cable is just a standard cross-over cable in a Xbox package. You use this if you are connecting 2 xboxs directly into each other.

And yes, if you decide to use a hub/switch just use cat 5 wire and be on your way.
