Help, listening to sountrack during games?

Hello,
I'm new here. Got the XBOX on launch day and I love it! Ok, on to my question if anyone can help...
I made my own soundtrack to use while playing XBOX games and saved it and everything, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the sountrack to play while I'm playing like say, DEAD OR ALIVE 3 OR HALO. I checked out the manual, but all it said was that it was possible to do it. It didn't say how. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

you can't play the custom sound tracks during Halo... and i don't know about DOA3... look under sound options... that's where it is for fusion frenzy.

I recall reading in the manual that all you have to do is turn on the xbox without a game in, and the play your soundtrack. Thenyou put the game you want to play in. Maybe I read wrong.
