Serious Sam skipping?

I rented Serious Sam and it skips and freezes up all the time. The disk is in great condition too. Has anyone else experienced this? I wanna know if its the game or if my Xbox is acting up.

Same problem. I turned music volume completely down in the options. Skipping and pausing stops. My xbox appears to have troubles accessing audio from this disc and only this disc. I think there are bad discs out there.

when i rented it, it was fine. there was no skipping or anything. it played perfectly
