Anyone know about the L600?

I remember this system was supposed to be out around Spring 2001. The specs were:
Linux OS
Geforce 3 AGP 4x
AMD Duron 600 mhz (should have been more cause it can't compare to Pentium)
Dolby Digital 5.1 support
HDTV support (high res)
2 USB ports (for keyboard and mouse)
4 controller port
About 8-10 gig hardrive
Built in Ethernet (for broadband support)
Atleast 30 games by launch

As you can see it was a bit comparible to the X-Box. But it was said to have TiVo like features right out the box. It could have been a great system but I kinda thank god it didn't get released because I have enough trouble trying to balance which games I'll buy for PS2, GC, and X-Box.

not sure but I think your talking about the endrema linux console. they dropped the project, think they couldnt get enough funding

Yes it was being made by Indrema. It was a brand new company and they didn't have the cash like MS to withstand the losses.

Would any of you gotten it? I would have but I'm sure this console would have died within a year or 2. But people thought the X-Box would die and we all know the answer to that.

Depends on what kind of kits they put out... and what kind of 3-D fighters. I might've been able to swing it.

If that would have came out it would have been a tough decision between the XBox and that. Ahhhhh, the power of Linux

X-Box would really be hurt because it would be the first of its kind. So people that would become fans would then not even touch the X-Box. Maybe I'm wrong, but I know that I must have'em all.
