need a xbox!

as i look around in stores and on-line, i have had no success in finding a system ( non-bundled offer)

any suggestions out there on some strategies for being able to get an xbox? got a nice 43 inch hdtv (hitachi), already bought some games and accessories, but no box!!!!....

also, has anyone out there had problems with using large screen tv's and getting any "image burn?"

Hey, I have the same problems. Friday I drove around for hours just trying to get one. I had no luck, except that there were plenty of game cubes, but who realy wants one of those.

I would try the local Best Buy, they dont do reserves and get a big shipment when stocked, ask for the manager and what date they recive the next order, if not in stock already.

You'd have to be seriously hardcore to have burn-in a week after launch.

If your HDTV uses CRTs...prepare to burn.
