Region Free Dvd ??????????

Hey people have you heard ??????? Apparently ( i haven't tried it myself ) you can play DVD's from different regions on your XBOX. That means that i can buy a DVD from Japan and play it on my XBOX. Can anyone please confirm this ? Thank you.

I dont think so. That would be breaking so many laws...and even though MS is the richest company in the world (with Bill) I dont think they would want to get into another legal battle. Besides, It only plays region 1 DVDs. Look at page 4 of the instruction in the upper right, "The DVD Movie Playback Kit can play only region 1 DVDs that have this logo:" (DVD Video logo next to it)

By default it should also be able to play region 0 DVDs.
