Light sabre color?

I was given a yellow crystal by the Jedi Council. I switched to a purple crystal because I like the look better. Am I suffering any penalties for this new color choice, or doesn't it matter?

Not for the Color crystal, if u have any other crystals, and you'll know which ones when u get em, like if u beat the Dark Jedi's in Tatooine and Kashyyyk u get crystals with weird names and they add stats to your saber.

If you go to the Caves on Dantooine u can get more crystals and you'll kno what im Talking about.

The choice of color for your saber is purely an aesthetic one. I haven't noticed any differences in damage/to hit numbers by using different colors.
