Sega GT is out now and IMO it is the closest thing to Gran Tourismo you will find. Sega GT Online will be out in a couple of months and they are increasing the cars on the track to 12 (from 6) adding an additional 40 cars to the roster, implementing weather effects etc. So if you want to wait you can wait for Sega GT Online or get Sega GT now. I like the game, its not as sim like as Gran Tourismo and it has some arcade elements in it as well.
