?UnReaL 2...?

Hey all, I noticed this game a month ago and have been wondering about it for awhile now. I was wondering if this game is the sequel to "Unreal Championship", I thought it was at first but now I do not think so.... It's the sequel to "Unreal". "Unreal Championship" and "Unreal Tournament" were just offshoots of the series.

Unreal tournament + Unreal championship = Online multiplayer FPS

Unreal + Unreal II = Story driven FPS

They share the same universe, thats about it. (aliens races, guns etc)

From what I've heard Unreal 2 was a beautiful game, but lacked play time. 10 hours of gaming was the avg completion time. Though in this version Multiplayer is included, so that might be worth something.


Gamespot gave it a Mere 7.3, and the readers a 7.2

I don't think anyone should compare pc versions to console versions because from my experience the 2 vary a lot. Many different variations typically exist between the 2 and Atari is pretty good at correcting prior mistakes etc. Hopefully, they can see any problems that maybe the pc version had and correct it so when the XBOX version comes out it will be great. Maybe that is the reason for the sudden release date delay.

I have always thought the unreal's were made for pc gaming and not console becasue of the mouse aim. I played a demo of unreal 2 for pc and it was fun.
