Exclamation How much does EB give you when you trade in a game?

I was really wondering, i've never traded a game in, and I'm just about to beat Max Payne, so I was wondering how much they'd give me on a trade in. Because I know for a fact they will sell it for like $5 less then what I paid for it, how much do they give you for a used game?

Give me a US amount if you have to, but like I paid $77 canadian for this game at my EB, so the less they'd sell it for is $70, how much of that goes into my pocket???

How much CREDIT they give you depends on the popularity of the game and how recent the game is.

I just traded in my Max Payne pc copy and got $15 for it and put that towards Max Payne for the Xbox!

Max Payne for the pc would be considered a hot pc game, so $15 is probably about as much as you will get for a game.

However, EB was running a return 2 xbox games, get 1 new xbox game for a while. Not sure if they are still doing that though.

We returned Star Wars and one other crappy xbox game and got Blood Wake.

I buy most of my games at Microplay and have been doing so since my PS1.

I purchased F12001 and NHL Hitz at the price of 90.00 canadian each including taxes.

I was not satisfied with the F1 game so I wanted to return it or to trade it in thinking they would give me about 40-50 dollars to use against purchasing NHL2002.

    They offered me 20.00 bucks.

Even after I paid 90 for it just the day before

just this week at EBX, i got 20 for an xbox game, and was offered 3 bucks for SSX [PS2]. i laughed and kept SSX. they would only give store credit for a game right there (no coming back later), so i took bloodwake for 30 bucks after trade in.
