Default Anime ,Cell shading or just Cartoons

I have noticed there are quite few anime looking games or simply call them cell shaded or cartoon looking games. After seeing the new Crimson Tears traioer I was wondering why there aren't more games like these. You can check out the trailer at Gametrailers and hereare a few links

For starters the graphic technology used in these kind of game seem easier than most of what we see today also the graphics are reminiscent of some of the most memorable 2D games and the animation seems pretty fluid also it seems the framerate is able to reach 60(A big issue in todays gaming as even 30 frames is a problem)Ninja Gaiden is practically one of the only games to maintain a solid 60 frames per second I believe.
After seeing "Crimson tears" for the ps2 I would really like to see how good or technically impressive an anime looking game would be on the xbox also animes are seriously on the rise in Japan where Video games are constantly falling an anime looking game with some serious story and action might just be a blessing for the xbox sales in Japan. An anime looking game from Team Ninja now that will be sweet.
Now I am not saying to replace most graphic tech games with cell shading but that atleast we need to see a few more cell shaded looking games after all animes, cartoons are a part of the entertainment industry infact it is my opinion that if most anime generated games would just stick to cell shading they would be alright.

Good call man. I find it very interesting and unique/fun to play at the same time. I'm really looking forward to TFLO where it's cell shaded with beautiful environments. As for ones that are out for the box, I always thought JSRF was a fun game to play and it's graphics were so......FUNKY! I loved it.

Yeah i love cel shaded graphics. Games that have this are JSRF, auto medallisa, True fantasy Online, XIII, some skating one on the cube, veiwtful joe, and jet grind radio. Then there are games which just look terrible and cheap like Drake or something which are terrible in everyway. The screenshots you put up look pretty good but i want to see the enviroments. The characters have more detail and look more realistic then JSRF though.

    n e ways

If they do it right it can glow off the screen adn look really as someone else put it funky. THe graphics are perfect for JSRF for it's funky style, character, music , theme everything glowed with style.

I could never understand why developers who make Simpson's games never got it through their big dumb skulls to use cel shading.

That stuff is huge in Japan and not so much here in North America and Xbox is very much geared towards North American style of gaming. i.e. Action games and FPSs more so then RPG & anime.

I suggest a PS2 if you like those kinds of games. Its got tons of them and you can immport a billion more.
