    Question Electrical Co-axial or Optical Toslinks?

    Hi all

    I'm from the UK and have pre-ordered the Xbox.
    I'd like to know how I can connect it to my home cinema amp
    using a digital cables.

    Does the Xbox use elelctrical co-axial or optical Toslinks?
    co-axial is standard connection, whereas the optical comes with
    mini 3.5 plugs. Does the Xbox use 3.5?

    And which of the AV packs should I get?

    Cheers!

    Shaz

    The XBOX uses an optical connection. It's the standard square size (as opposed to the little optical connector I use on my MD player).

    Both the advanced and the HD av packs offer digital audio.

    It uses the optical toslink cable, and you need to get either the advanced a/v pack or the high definition pack to have the option to use optical audio. Obviously, if you have a HDTV, get the high definition pack
