Default DVD Remote Probs Part 2

ok...so to recap from long ago (dec or jan), i was having problems with my dvd remote/playback on my xbox. i was getting strange vertical lines on the screen, here is a picture:

i've added some definition to the points of interest.

so there were some that said:
    1) it was the dvd remote
    2) it was the crappy tv
    3) it was the rfu/rca adaptors

    solution:
    1) replaced tv with 27in Sony Wega (27FV17) - still did it
    2) replaced rca/rfu with Advanced AV pack using composite video inputs - still does it
    3) replaced dvd remote - still did it.

it does this with EVERY DVD! i'm starting to get ****ed...doesn't do this on my crappy $100 samsung dvd player...and that thing is a real POS.

    more photos:

    any ideas, anyone!?

First of all: are you using the video channel on your tv? Secondly, if you aren't , you might try it. Just a thought.

It looks like a digital display problem...I take it you've tried just about everything, and you've replaced all your equipment, and I hope you tried checking out your connections and leads to see if any of the cables are screwed. Other than that I'd have to say give Microsloth a call and see what they recommend...I mean if you've replaced everything, what else other than the xbox could be causing it? Microwaves and magnets??? hahahah

well after a call to microsoft and talking with their customer service rep, we concluded it was in fact the xbox, and they are sending an empty box for me to ship it off and have it repaired.

on that note, the CSR was very kind and i would not hesitate to call again.

    score:
    microsoft 2
    sony 0

mainly because i love good CS, and sony's CS sucks butt

Are the lines static? Or do they move up or down. I have a pretty nice Sony Tv but the xbox being to close to the tv was screwing it up. Like the motor in the disk drive was causing interference. It did it really really bad with the dreamcast.
