The XBOX frags (Flashes Red And Green) when something is not going the way it's supposed to on start up. It will give you an error screen stating in multiple languages to get your XBox serviced. In the upper left it shows a number corrisponding to a specific problem, DVD, Motherborad, etc...Originally Posted by wulkar
What it boils down too is that if the green light flashes orange, that means there is a user fixable error. Thats like a unreadable disc or the AV cable is unplugged.
If it flashes red, that is a fatal error in the system and it needs to be repaired.
Those are serious software issues and hardware failures.
The Xbox bios puts up a screen that reads in several languages to call 1-800-4my-xbox because your Xbox needs repair. There is also a small code number that is on the screen. You have to tell the Xbox rep what that number is to designate what the failure is.
Either way, an error of that magnitude is a pretty serious error.
