Well guess what guys, they put a stop to all the stand bying in halo 2. They have made any stand bying exactly 2 seconds. Which also the update will make it so that a barrier is around any flag or bomb spot in those few moments.

Good job Bungie, even though you lied to everyone and said you fixed it a few months ago. 10 months later, you finally did it.

Thank goodness you now stopped the booming 31 players that stand-by, maybe you could concentrate on the 23590432859 players that hack. Just a thought

This wasn't a dilemma mattgame. Stand-bying is basically gone from matchmaking, what is the fun in shooting an immobile object when you can go download hacks and jump 100 feet into the air and shoot rockets from your SMG? Stand-bying has been pretty much nonexistant since noobs figured out how to mod the maps.

ya i ran into modder the other day when i played they had a fully auto battle riffle that shot sniper rounds and some how they made my whole team spawn in front of them.

other games have standbying too, RS3 being a prime example cuz since there WAS no blue screen, all it looked like was a lag spike. Don't recall one person getting banned for it. Hell, the Contra Multiuser game over at Yetisports, I've been standbyed in that. All that stuff was greatly reduced and IMO in a fairly timely fashion. Modding didn't start until the downloadable maps came out. So personally, they did a great and timely job fixing it and should be considered outstanding compared to slower working company's like Ubisoft (though I hear they are trying to fix the broken mess that is Lockdown at a pretty fast rate from what I hear).
