Hardware price drop?

Does anyone know if a price drop on the original xbox HARDWARE is expected around thanksgiving and once they 360 is released? I need to replace mine and im not about to drop 500 or 600 bucks quite yet.

Either get a 360 or normal Xbox now. The latest issue of OXM says a price drop for the original Xbox is VERY unlikely any time soon as it would cause MS to lose at least $100 per console.

I very much doubt they'll drop the retail price on the original xbox. It doesn't make any sense, and would only cut into possible Xbox 360 sales, which are of course what they're pushing now.

However, there will undoubtedly be an overabundance of second-hand Xboxs up for sale over the next few months.

I for one and selling 2 of them, 5 controllers, almost all my games, 3 different AV packs, a steering wheel, memory card, and remote.
