Silent Hill 2 Help Please

Well, sorta help...

I just want to know, is it normal for SH2 to have a little skip at the beginning of some (most) of the cutscenes? I got this game when it came out and beat it already, and was obsessed with the skipping... wanting an answer! But no one answered me, and now I'm playing it again and I'm obsessed with it again. Normally it wouldn't bother me, but my disc has a couple small scratches on it (nothing that I would think would affect the game... but I need to know for sure!).

Just like a little skip when a cutscene plays... always at the beginning.

my copy has never skipped at the beginning of cutscenes, so I don't know what to tell ya.
