My games: Halo, Splinter cell, unreal championship, rallisport challenge, silent hill 2, madden 2002, xbox live starter disc.

The region code is determined by the DVD playback kit. Once you use a kit it locks into that region code. It won't change if you try a different region kit after that.
Supposedly, there is a disc you can buy that will allow you to change the region but I've never seen it in person.
