Description

On his 21st birthday, the awesome and terrible powers of the Darkness awaken within Jackie Estacado, a mafia hitman for the Franchetti crime family. With his new powers, Jackie is able to wreak terrifying havoc on his enemies. Jackie must learn to fully command the Darkness so he can take back control of the Franchetti family, which is ruled by his uncle Paulie, a despicable man who is almost universally despised.

Overall: The Darkness is another good shooter on the 360. The controls are fluid enough and allow for slight tweaking. The story is short but has it moments. The Darkness shines where it should in the use of the Darkness Powers. There is nothing like impaling a mobster with the Demon Arm or watching as the mobsters helplessly fly around the Black Holes. Game Developers should follow Infinity Ward's lead and leave the Achievements offline. The Online play is forgettable at best and is only looking up at other shooters.
