IPTV Finally Arriving on Xbox 360 in November?
More than three years ago, Microsoft began teasing Internet Protocol television for Xbox Live. Weve heard next to nothing since then, but rumors suggest the feature may be coming a lot sooner than youd think.
The tech bloggers at Engadget appear to have intercepted a memo from AT&T regarding the telecommunication giants U-Verse service hitting the Xbox 360. According to the note, AT&Ts IPTV streaming app will become available to current customers on November 7 of this year.
Other requirements listed in the memo include an Xbox 360 with a hard drive and at least one pre-existing AT&T set-top box in the household. AT&T will also reportedly provide subscribers with an installation disc, as well as an IPTV remote and connection dongle.
Microsoft has yet to announce any specifics on IPTVs Xbox 360 launch, but well keep an eye out for further details.
