Interview with Lars Gustavsson

The producer of Battlefield 1942, Lars Gustavsson took some time out of his day to chat with the folks at FunXBox. Lars told all about the differences and similarities between the PC and Xbox versions, the game’s vehicles and weapons, the game’s engine, and much much more.

FunXbox: How will the Xbox and PC versions of the game be different from one another?

Lars Gustavsson: We have tried to keep the keys down to a minimum on the PC version and to stay out of the simulator trap (unique keys for everything).

This has helped us in finding a good way of controlling the game with a pad, too. Our goal is to let you into the game as smoothly as possible whether you play PC or the Xbox and not to make anything harder than it has to be. The missions will differ but the general feeling and way of fighting that you find on PC will be found on the Xbox too. Both platforms have their strengths that we try to take advantage of as far as possible.

Head on over to FunXbox they have about three more pages they want you to check out! After you finish reading theirs come back and feast your eyes on our interview with Lars a few months back.
