Days of Thunder: Arcade Headed to XBLA
We’ve already had one games based on the 20-year-old Days of Thunder film announced this year, and here we are again with a second. Days of Thunder: Arcade is an Xbox Live Arcade exclusive arcade racer (as one would expect) coming from Piranha Games.
"This year marks the 20th anniversary of Days of Thunder, and the film continues to be one of the most popular racing movies of all time," said John Kavanagh, Senior Vice President of Paramount Digital Entertainment. "What better way to celebrate the film’s enduring impact on racing in popular culture than by putting its iconic drivers, Cole Trickle, Rowdy Burns, and Russ Wheeler behind the wheel again in Days of Thunder: Arcade."
Michael Rooker will return to voice the character of Rowdy Burns, who serves as a coach to players. Throughout the game, you’ll get to compete against characters from the film. It also features support for 12-player online races and upgradeable cars.
Days of Thunder: Arcade is scheduled for release sometime this winter, meaning that it may not be until mid-February that we see it.
