20 Games from Infogrames
Infogrames released a press release stating the company will be a leading publisher for Xbox with over 20 Xbox titles in development for release within the next 12 months."The technological power of Xbox has raised the bar for game developers, enabling our creative teams to push the envelope, and resulting in a new kind of entertainment experience for consumers. That Infogrames will be one of the largest third-party publishers of Xbox titles at the platform launch demonstrates that we share Microsofts vision for the future of gaming. We believe future-generation platforms, such as Xbox, represent the next important chapter in gaming, driving both audience and industry growth." said Bruno Bonnell, Chairman and CEO of Infogrames.
J Allard, General Manager, for the Xbox platform, added, "Infogrames has a well earned reputation for developing high-quality games that have wide consumer appeal. They have recognized and skillfully incorporated the technological innovations of Xbox to create an enhanced player experience with Nascar Heat 2002 and Test Drive Off-Road - Wide Open. We’re pleased with the relationship we have established with Infogrames and look forward to continue working with them on additional Xbox titles." It should be taken into consideration that Infogrames was also announced one of the 27 companies working on online content for Xbox. HAHAHA... HA.
So far, Infogrames has been dubbed the European supplier of Segas Xbox games and holds the video games rights to Peanuts, Men in Black, Terminator 1 and 2, La Femme Nikita, and Dragon Ball Z.
