Shockwave, owner of Teamxbox.com had this to say...We regret to inform our faithfull viewers that TXB is down at the current time due to an inability to continue to afford our monthly costs. The site is growing faster than the internet economy and we are simply not bringing in enough revenue to make up for the huge growth the site has got. Our site has tripled in traffic over the past 2 months and the increase in bandwidth is more then we can make up for. Since we have started, we have funded this site out of our own money, and we have no more to put in toward the site.This is not good for anyone, we are good friends with Teamxbox.com, they’ve help us with spammers, hackers, etc... We are on their side. It’s not easy running a fan-based web site. Aspecially a great big one like theirs.2 months ago we could afford the site, then last month we had a surge of increased traffic that put a serious strain on our situation. As some of you may remember we had such a huge increase that our server could not handle it and we had to upgrade. Once again, the site has grown even larger faster than we could have imaginined and we simply do not have the resources to continue using our own funds to pay for the huge amount of bandwidth our forums/database/website takes up.
We are down, but please don’t count us out. We are going to do everything we can to try to find a solution. As soon as we are able to work things out we will be back. Thank you for the support over the last year!
