Cuisine Royale: Complex Battle Royale shooter hits Game Preview May 30

Darkflow Software and Gaijin Entertainment are bringing their Battle Royale shooter Cuisine Royale to consoles. Starting May 30th, the game will invite all Xbox One players to download it for free through the Game Preview program and start shooting guns, casting magic and bending the laws of physics to survive and win.

Cuisine Royale came out in 2018 on PC and offered an unexpected take on battle royale games. When dozens of players fight for survival, anything goes – anything you can find in a kitchen, be it a machine gun or a baseball bat, a kevlar vest or an ordinary colander. Landscapes in Cuisine Royale are awe inspiring, but the safe zone shrinks over the course of the match, killing those who are too slow to get away and forcing the rest to improvise.

Each and every item you find can change the outcome of the battle. Eagle vision glasses improve your accuracy, special footwear will make you jump higher and  cigars will make you cooler (and tougher to kill). Cuisine Royale features now also include mystical powers. Fighters can spray paint magic seals to heal allies, slow down enemies, set traps or call forth zombies. Spells require the souls of sinners – a resource you get for killing enemies.

Through their combat performance, players can unlock a variety of new spells to use in battle or cosmetic items to customize their characters with. Every couple of months a new content season adds a different flavor of items to the mix. The current theme is Wild West, meaning revolvers, cowboy hats, native american warpaint and more. Coming updates will bring even more items that either affect the appearance of the fighters or give them new abilities. Paid options include purchasing in-game currency or the ‘Stories Book’ DLC, both of which will give access to in-game cosmetics including rare gestures or outfits.

When launched on Xbox One X, ?uisine Royale boasts even better image quality and supports 2560x1440 at 60 frames per second or runs in native 4K at 30 FPS.

Oh, and one last note. The testing of the game through Xbox One Game Preview and feedback from the players will serve as an important input for future updates. Gaijin Entertainment is planning to release the final version of Cuisine Royale for Xbox One by the end of the year.
