Xbox Meeting Demands
I just got done reading over at Avault about the details of the shipping, and how Microsoft will handle all of its shipping to the different regions of the world and the North American area. Take a read...Microsoft has announced elements of its console manufacturing plans. Under the plans, the group will bolster its distribution capabilities through Flextronics International to establish manufacturing facilities in multiple regions around the world. Also confirmed were plans to launch the game machine in the U.S., Canada and Japan in fall 2001, and in Europe in the first quarter of 2002, staging the rollout so that demand can be met in each region. Flextronics will establish and manage regional manufacturing operations on Mexican and Hungarian soil. In addition, long-term plans include opening a manufacturing plant in Asia to support consumers in that region, including Japan.
Hopefully this means theyll be doing a much better job at meeting requests than the other guys. :) Again, total credit goes to Avault.
