Activision Keepin’ It Real With Hip Hop

SANTA MONICA, Calif., July 9 The hip hop music that echoes in playgrounds from New York City to Venice Beach will have gamers on their feet in Activision, Inc.’s (Nasdaq: ATVI - News) Street Hoops(TM), an all- out street level, black top basketball game. Featuring top hip hop artists Cypress Hill, Method Man and Redman and Xzibit, to name a few, the soundtrack will rock gamers on the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system and Xbox(TM) video game system from Microsoft this August. Street Hoops features the following artists and tracks: DMX - "Who We Be" Cypress Hill - "Lowrider" (including instrumental version) Method Man and Redman - "Da Rockwilder" Master P - "Make Em Say Ugh" Xzibit - "Front 2 Back" Ludacris - "Rollout (My Business)" Instrumental tracks include: Talib Kweli - "Gun Music" Talib Kweli and Hi Tek - "Down for the Count" Cocoa Brovaz - "Get Up" and "Extreme Situation" Pharoahe Monch - "Right Here" and "Livin It Up" Pharoahe Monch - "No Mercy" Mos Def & Pharoahe Monch, featuring Nate Dogg - "Oh No" Skillz - "PA to VA" and "Y’all Don’t Wanna" Smut Peddlers - "That Smut" and "Bottom Feeders" Kool G Rap - "My Life" and "Planet of the Apes" Street Hoops encompasses the look, speed, energy and attitude of park/playground blacktop competition. The game allows players to compete in a nationwide tournament representing their hometown on the most famous street courts in nine U.S. cites, as well as four fantasy courts that can be unlocked during gameplay. Realism is the rule, allowing players to bet cash on competitions, buy authentic real-world gear including Sean John, Ecko Unlimited, Southpole, Pure Playaz, AND 1 and more with their earnings, talk trash, shout and push other players around, if need be.
